The second issue of SciFi Scale has just been published by Hobbyworld, with 14 modelling articles about SciFi.
We got a slew of new items in from Tamiya. They include not only 3 new (likely as yet unreleased) kits, but also some new paints, dio pigments, and more.
Jim unboxes the newest items we have gotten in this year as samples. Including kits from Flyhawk & Thunder Models, diorama materials from AK Interactive (including their new F.A.Q. Dioramas book), the new paint line from Mission Models and more!

Bandai are to release a 1/72nd Rogue One Tie Striker.
This unfortunately sat in our news queue because apparently I am getting old and forgot to take it live. So a lot of these are already assigned, but not all! We got a Dragon USA large box as well as new items from MiniArt, Rye Field Model, Flyhawk, and, a new company, Resin-IM.

The Moonlander (1:350)
In 1952 Collier's magazine published a series of articles regarding the man's inevitable conquest of space. One of those issues described a lunar landing ship envisioned by Wernher von Braun and now Pegaus Hobbies has added a model of this spaceship to their catalog.
Back now in limited quantities, the early warning/reconnaissance craft from the 1980's anime 'Macross'. This craft was only featured in one episode but left a lasting impression for many mecha modelers.

RetroKit have released their first full kit in resin, a W.W.2 era Batplane.
RUSTY RAIL has released new workshop interior models, one in 1/48 and several in braille scale (1/87).

I just wanted to publicly thank Peter for all the time and work he has put into ModelGeek for the past 3+ years. You won't be seeing all the great news stories and reviews that he has been adding to ModelGeek for a while as he has decided to take a break to get more time for other things (like modeling!). We are sad to see him go, but hope he decides to come back for more down the road.
