Da Vinci Series Bridge
by: George Redell  |  Vendor: Academy
Leonardo Da Vinci was a man before his time. Known primarily as a painter Da Vinci had an inventive imagination. Academy has developed a series of model kits based on his inventive drawings from the late 1400’s. The Arch Bridge is a self-supporting arch bridge that distributes the weight through the full curve of the arch. The simplicity of this bridge requires no skill or extra manufactured parts. All that is needed is logs, planks, and an axe.

Da Vinci Flying Pendulum Clock
by: George Redell  |  Vendor: Academy
Leonardo da Vinci did not invent the pendulum clock. The first mechanical clocks were invented around the start of the 14th century. Da Vinci did improve on the design of the pendulum clock making it more accurate. The Da Vinci design was different because it included separate mechanisms, one for minutes, and another for hours. The clock operated by using a small metal ball, connected to a string, which wraps around a brass post, then unwinds repeating on to another brass post. By lengthening or shortening this string it would adjust the speed of the time. A counterweight acts as the clocks power source.

Garandur Silver Wolf (1:20)
by: Peter Ong  |  Vendor: Joaquin Palacios Studios’s
Most European-made resin and white metal fantasy figure kits come in original designs with ornately-crafted armor and melee (axe, staff, or sword), or ranged weapon (bow and arrow) choices.
These fantasy figures come in the scales of 54mm (1/32) and 75mm (1/24) since these figures are often meant to stand alone and not accompany a kit such as an armored vehicle. Therefore, Joaquin Palacios Studios’s 80mm “Garandur Silver Wolf” offers amazing detail in a scale suitable for solo display.
