I'm putting together a compact dio using Masterbox's German captives set, and I want to set it in 1944 France, with some British/Commonwealth troops doing the guarding... questions as follows: 1, Are these captives appropriate for the theatre in question? 2, I'm replacing some heads with Hornet Bandaged heads, one with normal "1944" hairstyle, and wondered which other type of field cap from hornet would be appropriate for the remaining figure, given the rest of the uniform and the theatre? and 3, re the British/Commonwealth figures - a mix of Masterbox's Caen set, ( Caen )a couple of Wolf/Hornets ( wolf ) - any other suggestions? Thanks Richard PS, this is my first real foray into WWII modelling so excuse any ignorances! |
| I see a red door and I want it painted dark olive, dry brushed in sand and add some etched brass while you're at it, please. Failing that, paint it black... | | |

Pat - thanks! All questions answered... I'll go for the HGH18 heads/caps as the faces look a bit more downcast. Resicast figures get my vote... Thanks again
