I have the AFV Club brass shield, two part and plastic rivets. The rivets have a pointy end and a flat end. The directions aren't clear (at least to me). Does the pointy end go into the inner shield part or the outer shield part? I greatly appreciate the help.

Hi,

The pointy ends go on the outside. From the pictures in the link below you can see there is a hole in pointy bit through which a wire can be put from one bit to another. Behind the wire materials for camouflaging can be stuck (branches, gras). (I hope this makes sence)

They were shaped as such in order to give a measure of ballistic protection. A domed rivet head isn't as deflective to a bullet or shrapnel as a cone shaped one. HTH

Thank you all for the replies. I am trying to use the plastic rivets in the kit but that photo with the brass rivets makes them look awfully appealing right now.
