Hello guys!

As the topic suggests, does anyone here have any idea where I could get them for my first diorama attempt? The thought of scratch-building hasn't come to mind as I believe it'll be a tragedy! A look on the internet usually brings me to WWII era buildings...

The diorama I have in mind would be using 1/35 scale figures to depict a scene of troopers storming a building/room in the modern era setting, suggestions for the figurine kits are needed too!

At the same time, I would probably need a figure posed in a "surrendering" manner, so any ideas guys?

Currently I'm looking at Dragon's 1/35 GSG-9 members, so it'll be urban European theme... Another would be Dragon's 1/35 Hong Kong SDU members so it could alternatively be themed another way. ( Likelihood of using the SDU members is quite low as I believe creating the buildings for the diorama would have to be done by scratchbuiilding. )

Since 1/35 modern is a tough nut to crack (except for damaged/bombed-out style), I looked around the train layout hobby for 1/32 (No. 1 Gauge/scale) and found a bit. The scale difference between 1/32 and 1/35 is workable, so....

It's only a couple, but, there may be more out there.

Scratchbuilding is ALWAYS an option.

If you're looking for a european urban theme most WWII labelled city buildings will still work, as most european cities still have the same old buildings in the center. You could modernize them with some scrach items, like modern signs or street lamps, mabe even modern windows.

Thanks for the info guys... The barnyard one is pretty good, I'm thinking it could be an illegal stash of weapons the figures will be raiding...

I've seen some 1/35 Buildings by MiniArt on eBay which seems pretty good...

Alot of it is middle eastern, however theres some generic stuff that you could easily use for a European setting such as their great street lamps and barriers

Just an update guys, I've come across this website via introduction from "TheKiwi" from MilitaryPhotos.net, seems pretty good, not too sure what the scale is though.
