We are approved for Sci-Fi II. Great to have support for another one of these campaigns! I hope it will be as much fun as the first one and ideas will be just as original and fun to see.

If you want to be part of the fun please sign up below:

Sign up for the campaign

Notice that builds unfinished for the first Sci-Fi campaign can be finished for this campaign and legally entered.

Looking forward to see all the ideas for this

Feel free to share your plans and ideas while we wait for the official campaign start on 1st September.

I have a ton of cool resin stuff in the stash, so I might join with a resin Sci-Fi tank or similar.
Alternatively I am also tempted to try to scratch build and kitbash something out of a lot of old Games Workshop tank parts.

What ideas do you all have?

Signed up this afternoon.

I have plenty of ideas but I'll have to wait till the end of next month before I decide for sure.

Just have enlisted.

I've got so many SF-kits in my stash, I still don't know what to build exactly. If I only take a look at all my Star Wars kits...

But I gonna contribute something.

Jesper, thank you for your efforts you have put into this campaign.

Jupiterblitz, welcome onboard

I know what you mean with the Star Wars kits. I just bought three of the newer Bandai kits my selves. Awesome that they make them in 1/48 and 1/72 scale.

Enlisted. I'm not sure what I'll do yet. I do want to go more high sci-fi this go-around.

I've been working on stuff like this recon AFV based on a Sheridan chassis with a Bradley turret.

I'll come up with something.

I have been playing around with a ribbon for this campaign.

The best I have come up with is below:

If anybody has any ideas - I am very welcoming to better designs

That thing has had several names suggested. I originally called it the Rad Brad...the Rad being a play on the RD (recon/destroyer) designation. Plus it sounded so 80s-ish....which would have been the introduction period for this vehicle...the Bradleys were coming on-line while the Sheridans were on their way out. In truth, I tend to like the name Marauder after Merrill's Marauders.

The idea here was for this one to fill the M3 CFV role and free up Bradley production to be centered on the M2 IFV role. Call it a cost cutting alternative for the CFV.

This was a simple project. All I did was make a new, larger bustle rack and added side skirts. I think it looks pretty sharp and it looks feasible.

Anyway, I did pick up another Masterbox Pinup figure set for another project, but I should have a few leftovers. Alien women folk? Vampire women? Demonesses? Maybe even a play on feminazis and ultra feminism.

That would be awesome Andrew. I would enjoy seeing your builds. Spent many an enjoyable laugh filled evening watching Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Robot roll call.....Cambot, Gypsy, Tom Servo, Crow (or should I say...Croooooooow). Yep.....I'm a geek!!!!

I still have no idea what to build for this campaign.

Thanks,
Randy

Well signed-up, hopefully this time I'll get the Steampunk Steam Car finished this time around .
Also have a couple of other ideas rolling around in the noggin that might be a chance to try out some new build techniques/methods/materials.
Hope the glue dries in all the right places for those entered up

Lap man, great to have you part of this campaign again. You made a great build for the first campaign and I am looking forward to see your entry this time around.

Here are some of the entries I am considering. However, in the end might be something completely different.

Well they seemed friendly enough.

I'm favoring something based on humanity's contact with an alien race. Maybe have a backstory with a secret history and role of Earth to them.

Any rules on partially complete kits? I have some hulls in the spares that I could kitbash in to alien tanks or something. I was thinking of borrowing some of the suspension from a Panzer 4.

The general rule is that kits cannot be more than 25% finished.

The exception is unfinished kits from the first Sci-Fi campaign. These kits can be finished and submitted in this campaign.

Another exception is if you submit multiple kits - for example in a diorama. Here only one of the main kits in the diorama needs to fulfill the 25% rule.

If in doubt you can always just submit a picture and I will give feedback straight away.
