Yippee
Finally scored a Godzilla kit.the Aurora #7502
For a radioactive monster he can be hard to find at a reasonable price.
Should have him by Jan 5
Let the monster mayhem begin

Is it all right if I just do an electrical substation without the radioactive monster?

I actually have an HO scale one for my Polar Lights Godzilla to be walking through.

I looked through the possibilities for this campaign. I signed up. I am probably doing a F-18 fighter jet as seen in this clip:

F-18s attacking Godzilla

I am looking throught the stash to find a suitable F-18.

Stephen, the substation would be great for this campaign. Is it the Walthers kit or Heljan?

Jesper, the American Godzilla '98 has a lot of modeling inspiration to draw from. Any car modelers out there willing to do a cab?

Here are my choices for the Godzilla Campaign. I'm going to let you all determine which one to build. Just tell me which kit you prefer. I'll talley the results of your vote on January 7th.

I found a F-18 in the stash.

Here is the starting picture. Work will start shortly.

Jesper, it looks like you'll have some bonus decals for other kits.

Hi Brent,

Yes, the decals will come in handy for other kits.

I also noticed in the movie that the F-18 are clean with no external fuel tanks. I think I will add the centerline fuel tank to add a bit of realism, but otherwise just have the missiles on rails.
The missiles in the kit looks very much like the movie missiles, so there the fit is perfect.

Plastic has been cut! The cockpit is pretty sparce detailwise, but so far the fit is fine.

More progress to follow soon.

I would go for the F-1 or the Apache. Those would be cool builds - and especially the F-1 would be something out of the ordinary.

More progress on the F/A-18. So far fit is very good for such an old kit.

Probably be the best fitting kit in the group build.

The Polar Lights and Aurora monsters require whole tubes of putty.

And the Ialeri F-18 Is only from the 1980s, good fitting kits were common 30 years ago but everyone used putty anyway.

Mike, looks great. You almost have to wear sunglasses when building that bright green plastic

The basic construction is finished on the F/A-18. Next is some sanding and filling. Not too much, but still required in a number of places.

More to follow soon

Hello Brent,

I still owe you an answer about what kit to select.

I'm opting for the Type 90 tank - Godzilla vs. tank is the classic duel.

I was thinking along the same lines, I'm voting for the tank...

As of 22:07 CST there are two votes for the M90 and one vote for the F1.
Any more votes on which kit North4003 builds?
