Nice review CMOT. MasterBox has been bringing out some interesting kits. Just a correction though, the 'sniper' rifle in the kit is an M21 (Vietnam era M14 rifle with scope), and the machine gun is an older M249 SAW used in the late 80's and very early 90's. The MasterBox weapons are usually incorrect, but Live Resin saves the day there.

Masterbox is terrible about matching what's ON the box with what's IN the box.

Not the first, or the last, set to show you one set of equipment/weapons and sell you another.

The molding of their figures is not good enough to make up for the tactic.

Pass.

I cannot agree on that Mike as i feel 'Cold Wind' is the best figure set I ever bought. I do wish the figures always matched the artwork as that can be annoying and so I will agree with that aspect. Master box are in my top five plastic figure manufacturers and rate very highly with me where customer service, story and content quantity.

Got a couple of MB figure sets such as Zombie Hunter and a week or so ago, the Women at War set came in. I'm getting into zombie/apocalypse type dioramas and really just wanted the dog which appears to be a Great Dane on the box art. Not quite. The dog's in 2 halves and there's 2 problems: No locating pins, the other is the 2 parts are slightly warped. Tamiya's livestock set has a German shepherd which looks like a German shepherd and has locating pins on the 2 parts. Want to do a Scooby Doo diorama w/Scooby & Thelma along with a beat up/modified Mystery Machine van. (Shaggy and the others didn't make it.)
