I've always liked the look of those resistance x-wings, so I'm looking forward to seeing this being built

Got some work done on it. so far been an easy build with no problems. but I do see where i'm going to need to do some panting, namily the engine nozzles and the cockpit. I want to try and leave the white plastic unpainted as I kind of like the color.

Hey, gals and guys, if you are willing, please submit your builds as features or even reviews - we need more articles going.

Thank you!

Howdy Y'all
I did a little work on the Combat Assault Tanks that come in my U-Wing Fighter kit. I painted the storm troopers, I'm only going to use one but I'll use the better of the two. Ignore the F4U-4 I'm building for another campaign. Sorry about the poor quality of the photo.

Take care,
Don "Lakota"

i managed to get back in the saddle for this one and have now completed his legs and added them to the torso section. his arms are just about done but i haven't be able to take a picture of them yet. I am also working on the skirt thing that he can wear, the original is made of fabric which i tried to paint and failed at so i opted for polyurethane version which i painted white. unfortunately the paint flaked off so i have had to find a thicker version which is white in colour.

Ordered an airbrush compressor today, should be here next week sometime. At my old house the air compressor was in the garage and was plumbed through the wall into my workshop, no opportunity to do that here. I'll be on the road for another business trip next week so it should arrive about the day I get home.

But, these Bandai Stormtrooper kits may turn out to be addictive. The fit is damn near perfect, comes with 3 different types of blasters in this kit and six hands (three of each side including open, grasping the grip of the blasters, pointing and a clenched fist).

I picked up the TK-421/Luke Skywalker one today at the local Hobby Lobby. The prepainted face is incredible. The different rear portion of the belt with the grapple is included. The kit also comes with shorter "thighs" to make Luke shorter than the typical Stormtrooper.

A few pictures of the build, in other words, playing. LOL

Will be pulling it apart to paint after the business trip.

I am going to try and finish a Y-wing, and hopefully it won't end up on the shelf next to my stalled X-wing. This will also attempt a lighting kit. Not planning my painting sequence properly when wiring the X-wing is what has stalled me; trying to figure out some tough areas of masking.

I'm calling this one done as well. Went for subtle weathering with pastels only.

I'll add a couple of these to the campaign gallery.

Logged out and logged back in again and I can only still add to my own gallery not the campaign one.

Edit:
Nevermind, tried it on Chrome instead of Firefox and it worked. Two pictures uploaded to the gallery.

My Bad
I started this kit yesterday LOL and did an all nighter (well almost 3am)

Sill a WIP got gadgets, stickers and weathering to go, also thinking about adding more damage and wires. I have only glued the head and main two body halves to reduce seam lines.
I'm calling him R4-NOGO

I love where you are going with this.

I'm going to have to pick up one of these droid kits.

Thanks Davids
Yes I don't know where these weird ideas of mine come from. I find it hard to do a normal build

I understand. I find it hard to build something canon. Too many rivet counters and "shade of paint" experts.

Playing arounds with some ideas/options.
What do people think of this look, nothing glued or weathered yet.
Need some outsiders view points

Hard day at the office!!!

The leg stance, yes. The head off, not really.

Starting on some weathering of NOGO, I really like this paint for washes on the Bandai plastic not harmful and washes out in water. It doesn't seem as annoying as other acrylic paints for washes. The Burnt Sienna is a nice colour over the Aluminium.
