Cool Mike.

What kind of weathering and base are you doing, if any?

Hey Dave,
Good to hear from you.

Still going to try for a 'soft white underbelly' grub/pupae effects on the underside

Weathering and some two-tone paint chipping, mostly to cover up the peeled Mustand yellow base coat. Going for some chipped and worn bare metal at the ends of the legs too.

The plan is to use a grass mat base w overgrown rubble. Since the critter is so low slung, it'll probably be coming over a rise.

Can't wait to see more.

Too much business travel going on again. Home this week but the next two after that are on the road again.

New workshop still hasn't even been started to be built yet, the room is being used for storage right now. Hope to get working on it in March.

Got the abdomen 'plates' roughed in, but still needs more blending and stippling and gloss.

I got the base started, looks a right mess now. I should have taken a pic of the bare plaster with all the bricks, piping , broken girders and such before putting the rubble over it.

Ready for a flat earth basecoat, drybrushing the rock highlights and detail painting the bits.
