Here's my entry for the campaign. I look forward to others to follow today or tomorrow.

Tatooine. A hot afternoon in the desert. Wattoo and a few of his pit-droids have discovered the remains of a spacecraft. The desert sand has burried most of the craft when he flutters out of his sportsy landspeeder to inspect his find. But he was not the first to find this treasure. Someone else (a honored member of Armorama - easter egg) has been here before and spraypainted his name on the hull of this derelict craft.

The speeder, droids and wattoo are fully scratchbuilt. For the derelict craft, I destroyed an old kit and copied some parts of it in resin.
I made the parts for one droid and mader resin copies to make the other two. The original Wattoo and original droid were made with Magic Sculp, a milliput-like product.
The landspeeder was made from plasticard and a two-component polyester filler for car repair work.
Surprisingly, the desert was the most difficult part. Once it was dry, the cement started coming off the plastic sheet it was put on, and it was extremely difficult to paint. After 6 (six!) layers of paint the sand still colored in darker and brighter spots. The woodland-effect improved with every layer, but it's not at all what I expected.

Someone left his name on the derelict craft : who'd expect something like that from a 300-yrs old ?

Heh heh - cool stuff!

Hopefully we'll spy the Ewok with "Friend" soon too.

I can't upload today or tomorrow. Saturday might be my best shot. I have an appointment with both a new client, a major model company manufacturer, and a book author to talk about publishing all on Saturday afternoon. Was going to head down to a model contest -but understandably - I'm passing on that one.

Right now I'm so thrilled I can hardly sit still in the office!!!

Ooo... Those pit droids look good!
I like how the wreckage is buried in the sand, suggesting that it's been there a while.

The worn and roughed up paint on Watto's speeder is a pretty good effect too. :-)

Good work, General!

*sigh*

Now I've got the urge to go and finish my speeder. (or pound it into scrap...)
