Introduction

NOCH makes many figure sets in several scales. This is the N scale set
Railway Construction Group , item
36276.
The set
Railway Construction Group is a set of six figures and an instrument. Each item is factory assembled and painted. The subjects are:
Kneeling man
Tool (Fuel can, arc welder?)
Power tool operator
Man with shovel
Man kneeling with tool
Man swinging maul
Sitting man
Molding is remarkably fine and the figures have good detail. I found no molding flaws. The figures have poses that look realistic.
As good as they look, they are just too tiny to stand on their own. I could not make any stay upright.
The set is packed in a form-fitted cradle for each model. That cradle is held inside a top/bottom clear plastic box.
detail
The tiny figures and tools have good detail for the scale ( 1/160 ). The skill of the painter accentuates the molded detail. Each figure has small bands of silver reflective tape painted on their hi-visibility coveralls.
Conclusion
These lilliputian gandy dancers feature good detail and natural poses. The factory painting is very good.
My only concern is not surprising - the figures need glue to remain upright. I believe that N scalers will enjoy this set for their layout track in top shape. Recommended.
Thanks to NOCH for providing this set for review.
