Parts are well protected between two slabs of thick white polyfoam . Figure base and the wall section are placed under the polyfoam not to damage the figure parts.
The figure is sculpted by Benoit Cauchies
and made up of 14 white metal parts. Casting of all parts is very crisp and clean. There is no excess metal on parts but only a few slightly visible seamlines to clean. A quick sanding cleanwork will be enough to make your figure ready to paint.

Bread Bag : Straps of the bread bag meet well to the straps on the back side of belt. It can be attached easily in correct position with the pin-hole on parts. The breadbag M31 is a simple one compartment haversack which contained the ration of a soldier. Of course next to the bread, it contained a lot of personnel stuff which will be dealt with in another section. Early war types were field grey, while sometimes in 1941 the colour was changed to olive green.

The standard Field bottle M31 had a 0.8 litre aluminium bottle, with a black painted aluminium drinking cup. The felt cover was intended for insulation -when made wet, it cooled the contents of the bottle.
Mess Tin : Defined in good details. It should be attached on the right hip. The Mess Tin M31 is a kidney shaped cooking pot with a total capacity of 1.7 litres. It consisted of 2 parts: the pot with the wire handle, and a cover with steel handle. As it is made of aluminium; the paint wore off very quickly, and often completely blank ones are encountered.

The entrenching tool in this figure is a small type tool named as Kleines Schanzzeug which is about 55 cm.s in length. The blade is riveted to an unpainted wooden handle. It is carried in a leather formed like the blade with a rim on front. The E-tool in the carrier is secured by a leather strap which is wrapped around the handle. Also the leather strap was used to secure the bayonet, or sometimes even a steel handgrenade. The bayonet attached to E-tool is standard bayonet of Kar98 rifle and is named Seitengewehr (SG) 84/98. For early versions; the grip should be painted wood as later version bakelite grips should be painted brown/red.

This weapon was first developed in 1898, and was slightly modified many times over the course of it's service length.
