The box lists this as an anime kit, so I guess this is where it belongs. I was given this kit last year at OZcon in Wichita KS. It's a 1/48 scale kit and I had a ball throwing it together. Throwing is pretty accurate too as there weren't but about 20 pieces in it total. I added the decals from my spares box. Hope you like it. "Q"

Nothing more than what came in the box. All plastic....a nasty lime green color at that. Glad you all like it. Thanks, "Q"

Like it!

Very 70's Japan animation, simple, clean lines, you have made it come up a treat.

Looks like one pf those automated sentry gun drones, except with a laser cannon (or similar) rather then a machine gun.

Good results, looks like you had fun with a 'simple' kit.

Cheers

Interesting little guy., and a fun looking little build

Lots of ideas pop into my head looking at it.
It does not seem that it would be too difficult to articulate in order to pose on uneven terrain

Who was the manufacturer?

Is it connected to any TV series according to the box / art / instructions?

I wonder if there are other kits in the line.

I've got a kit similar (might even be the same). It's from the Crusher Joe cartoon series (don't ask me what that was).

Sabot hit it on the head. Came from the series Crusher Joe....and I as well don't know what it is. Just thought it was cool looking and decided to build it. "Q"

Too bad the series is so long out of production that the ebay proces areastronomical.
$50 for a medium sized kit is out of my reach..

too bad.
I'll keep my eye out, but am not holding my breath.

I paid $15 for a 1/48 scale kit on eBay. I expected something bigger; the box is about the size of a 1/76 scale Matchbox tank kit and the body of the kit may be about the size of the old Matchbox Firefly. It does look like a decent quality kit, but the way eBayers drive up the prices on anime kits, it may take a while to find a reasonably priced kit.

Crusher Joe was a 80's very good anime, with a LOT of nice ships and vehicles. Nitto, Takara and other companies has released many kits of them. The Crawler is one.
