Churchill Mk IV Carpet LayerPosted: Saturday, September 20, 2014 - 12:58 AM UTC
Feels more like a 75% model, leaving out such in important part. Well, I guess it's hello to the aftermarket firms!

the kit is of the "TLC" used at Dieppe not "Type A" which had 2 reels on a common axle. I wrote an article describing all types back in 1997. The carpet was made of hessian with standard scaffold-poles for re-inforcement (these were staggered left & right, not all the way across).

An odd release.
Hopefully AFV Club has released this version first to test the waters and will release one of the later, operational versions used on D-Day and in NWE with their AVRE kit.
I was quite interested in the release when it was first announced, but I'm disappointed in the version actually kitted.

Not surprised by the missing carpet. Nice review, Darren.
