Hi. This is my first post on this particular side on Kitmaker Forums.
I want to present my current build.
Tittle is 'Cuba Libre'.
It's a racer, a bit of Mig 19 and an old Albatros fuselage. A Kitbash so to speak.
Some pictures:

Made some progress after initial build in April. Beside parts of the Albatros and Mig 19, which are in 1/48 scale, I used the wheels from a 1/32 scale Revell Phantom II and fuel hand pumps from 1/35 scale German armor.
Paints are metallics from Tamiya spray cans.
Base model is ready and got some semi gloss, rubbed that down to get the tear down on the fuselage, some detail painting was done on the wheels and nose.

Inside the fuselage of the Albatros...

After that I applied some decals, half way now.

I will seal all with some gloss and let dry when finishing the decals.
Next comes detailing on suspension, fuel lines, mechanical wires and other stuff.
First time I did such kit bash and I really enjoy it beside my serious plane, armor and car modeling.
Hope you all like it.
More to come when there is progress.

Robert, that is so weird and cool at the same time. Kind of steampunk meets.... I don't know what.

Looks great!

I like where this is going. Mashups are my favorite

That's looking pretty cool Robert, nice work. I'm not going to comment on the obvious accuracy issues though, because , well, you know!

Cheers, D

Thanks guys. I'm always impressed with those Steam Punkers. Thought I would give it a try. My Albatros was not complete anymore, Mig 19 has a resin nose job, spares and an old kit, my first Eduard kit, and some other spares resulted in this first creation. More to come in the future, I have much old stuff I can use for such projects. And it is BIG FUN.

Hmmm...a bit of imagination can go a long way! I've tried Sci-Fi/Fantasy bashes but just lack the necessary imagination.
