Hey Everyone! For those of you who don't know yet( & can't figure out my screenname...) Logan is my 3 1/2 yr. old son & he shows great interest in my modeling. As a "big brother" present for being so good during the delivery of his little brother Ryan, I gave him a 1:32 Tamiya 'Wild Willys' Motorized kit which he assembled himself. This year my birthday present from him was a BanDai Strike Gundam 1:144- for HIM to assemble. He knows what makes me happy, I guess.
All I do is cut the parts from the sprues & clean up as required. He looks at the 'strunkshuns and puts 'em together himself. I'm done bragging for now, here are some pics to enjoy-
Frontal shot-

HIII_YAA!!!

Trying some alternative armament...

And finally, some shots of the "Gumdin"( in 3 1/2 yroldese...) showing his contempt for allied interceptor aircraft...

sorry 'bout the banwidth, I tried to reduce them as far as I could without sacrificing much quality...
If you're having a bad week, nothing could be better tonic than sitting down with your 3 yr. old and watching him or her discover the joy of this hobby.
Hope you like it!
RobH
[EDIT]-Special Thanks to Ralph Dabao(ShonenRed) for getting me into the Gundam scene...

Thanx, Dave! I'll let him know .
Any chance you could post some pics of your 'custom' reworks, so I can see if he wants to get more involved?
(He's already told me that he wants to build my "hardest" models when he's all grown up like me. Awww...)

Wilco. I should have time tonight after I get home.
I was going to say "check my gallery", but I removed them a couple of months ago.

Hey Bob,
Tell Logan I'm impressed. Very nice model.
Both my son's are in thier 30's. Squeeze every second you can for Logan. I'm close to my sons, but I miss the "little guys".
I think you're a lucky, and good, Dad.

Huwow! i remember my past too. 9 years ago, I've been buying Gundam stuff and just snapping them on. Now, I paint them. That's a good start my friend! Tell your son to keep it up! Sooner or later, you'll found out your tools missing -- being used by your son :-)

Hi everyone & thanks for all the positive feedback. Log likes to know that my "computer friends" are interested inhis stuff.
Dave- WOW! He's sure to love those as much as me! I'm hoping to pull off something similar to your 'Ground Type' for my battlesuit mod- nowhere near as good, I'm sure.
Chuck- Lucky I am, Good...well, let's say I try. Do the boys have grandkids you might get into building with?
Angela, Ralph, Peter, thanks, I'm hoping this is something he'll continue to enjoy. I want to stimulate his interest without smothering him, so you can imagine how overjoyed I was when he picked out a model to make for me! As long as it stays fun, we'll stick with it.

No grandkids yet, but we keep hoping. My oldest son got back into modeling a couple of years ago, but is taking a break to grow his business. You have a talented little guy there.
Happy modeling.

I have 10 years on him, and he still is as good as I am.... Looks very well built, especially for a modeller of his size.

31/ He's a born modeller - you must be a proud dad. My son is 24 and he designs buildings but I couldn't get him to build a model with me if I put a .45 to his head.
