Dave,
Looks good.Solo effort or dad leaning over the shoulder and side seat driving?
Is he bringing/entering it at Granitecon?

Great work William. I wish my first solo airbrush work looked half as good.
Cheers,
Bryan

Thanks guys, I only mixed the paint and helped him adjust the airbrush. I showed him how to work it and had him do all his experimentation on some plastic plates I keep in my workshop as airbrush targets. I had him using my old Badger single action. Not only was this his first painted Gundam, it was his first attempt at all with the airbrush.
I wish I had thinned the black a little better so that he wouldn't have had so much overspray.
He does plan on entering it in GraniteCon, his first competition too.
Now if I can only get him to clean his room, life will be good. :-) :-)
I'll let him post tonight to thank you all.

Lookin' Good, Dix! Wish I could say my first aibrush attempt looked that good- and on a figure, no less! is this one of the 1:144's or is it larger. I'll print this one out & show it to Logan, I'm sure it'll inspire him to start painting his.
Kudos, William! Keep this up & you'll be leading the AGE campaign in no time!
Dave, methinks life IS good. A clean room would only make it better-or cleaner, at least.
Cheers,
RobH

Hi guys,
I'm typing, William is dictating:
Thanks, it's a 1/100 scale not a 1/144th scale. Mom says if I go to Scotland she has to go as chaperone! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
Dad says now I have to work on making my seams better.
Dixon66 talking again: Shonen I only helped him with setup and adjustments. He did it all on his own. Well, I at least came up with the idea of using the four color winter scheme.

Just a little update on William's build. He entered his first show at GraniteCon 12 and this won First Place in Juniors: Miscellaneous. Sabot's daughter, Elaina, pulled in third with a very nice Tie Int.
Congratulations to the both of them!
