I would like to form a group of sci-fi modellers who would like to share thoughts and techniques in an informal manner here on Armorama- The main reason for doing it here is that the level of models sems to be greater and I like modlling all sorts of subjects as I am sure many of you do-let me know whos interested!

Cool I just oined the boad at Child of Mecha but there are a lot of good modelers here as well- i find if you stay with ne group you get tunnel vision and miss really good stuff - the Mecs models grew out of Japaese armor so I igure that is the best palce to learn! Yuo will have to excuse my typing I'n afraid I ave a lot o typos. re you interested in joining a Mech Dio group build?

I think I would be interested in joining.

I'm member of a lot of boards. I don't go to a lot of them anymore because theres nothing going on.

I'm interested in all things Sci-Fi and Real Space. I never have built a Gundam subject before though - we could use some more interest along the Mecha lines for sure!

Thanks for the support! Think od Gundam as big walking tanks - they started showing up as garage kits in the 70's and 80's by japanese armor modelers! thry were not called Gundams back then- most had some kind of psuedo german names.

I build just about everything, so if you go final with a campaign, or group build, count me in as well. Its fun to think outside the box every now and then, if not more. "Q"

I'd love to be a part of a group build seperate from the campaign. I've got a thought for a vignette with an SF3D suit I need a kick in the rear to get working on again.

From a couple of other threads it looks like the proposed Sci-fi 'official' campaign for 2006 will be a powered armor based one which fits in well with your idea also.

This sounds like a good time, so I guess I'm in! The occasional scifi kit is pretty fun. I'm a big Classic Battletech guy (I have a Rifleman I need to post) and Star Wars fan, though I do have a couple Gundam and a Votoms kit in the stash for flavor.
