Hello my friend:

Wow, . . . . NOW here we go. Finally some really good pictures that show
all the details in full light. Just a super job, here Vic. Such a smooth
application of the reds on the cape, in the shot from the back. For me,
painting a large area the same color is not easy. . . Very good work on the
armor. But the face is my favorite part for General Crowe! He really has
the look of being in the combat zone for quite a while. Wish I could get
that heavy growth of beard like you have. Fine work, Vic.

Hi Rick, Jesper.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Rick, the 5 O'clock shadow is just a bit of dry brushing, in this case W&N black or other times W&N blue black which I know you've found useful in the past.

Thanks for posting the photos Rudi.

All the best

Hello Vic,
Very nicely done mate,i like how these figures have multi textures like leather, metal and cloth to challenge the painter,i can see why you like the roman era.

Hi RV,

The gold and silver was done in acrylics, everything else was done in oils.

Take it steady

Hi Frank,

Thanks for you comments,
I still can't believe how sculpters manage to get figures faces looking like who they're suposed to be especially on small figs.

All the best
