1⁄4000Moebius Battlestar Galactica, Pegasus
Shawn's description of the building and painting process:
I built the 1/4105 scale Battlestar Pegasus made by Moebius for the Sci-Fi and What If VI Campaign. It was built OOB, and while I considered buying the alternative registration decals, I opted to finish it as the Pegasus herself. Halfway through the build, I decided to simultaneously build the Battlestar Galactica (Same scale, and also from Moebius). The Galactica kit I bought on eBay included the resin/3-D printed upgrades, and included them in the build.
The Pegasus was painted with a myriad of metallic paints from Tamiya, AK Interactive, and Ammo of Mig. A slew of oil paints, washes, and filters were used to create tonal variations.
The Galactica was similarly painted with several metallic colors, however, I opted to paint the exposed armor panels in tones of gunship gray. I wanted to create a slight visual difference between the two Battlestar’s, and added more grime to the Galactica, given her advanced age in the re-imagined mini-series.
