Round 2 has released a plastic injection model of the "Project Vanguard `Hawk' Satellite."

Vanguard 1, launched on March 17, 1958 became the second artificial satellite placed in orbit by the United States (after Explorer 1). This 3.25 lb (1.47 kg) satellite was dubbed "the grapefruit satellite" by then Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev. Ironically, Vanguard 1 still remains in orbit whereas Vanguard's predecessors, Sputnik 1, Sputnik 2, and Explorer 1, have all decayed from orbit.*

Looks like it might be based on this see-though display model since I think the orbiting satellite is solid cased with a few solar panel bulges on it: Between this, the Thor and the forthcoming Vanguard rocket kit from R2, it's becoming a great time for early space enthusiasts - or for anyone who's starshipped-out.
